90% Nero d'Avola | 10% Montepluciano
Both the Nero d’Avola and Montepulciano fruit was picked on the same day, and fermented separately in small open fermenters separately and blended prior to bottling. It was a fantastic year for Nero d’Avola, showcasing all the wonderful things we love about this grape, so the percentage in the blend is slightly higher this year. An understated, earthy nose precedes a lovely, light, fruit driven palate of classic Nero raspberries, spice and redskins. Minimal intervention winemaking, letting the amazing Riverland fruit do all the talking, a wine made for summer BBQ's or pizza night.
