We are genuinely impressed with this great range of wines from Wright's Vineyard in Gisborne.
Wrights have been making wines since 1931. Now in the third generation these fresh new world style wines are from their certified organic Gisborne vineyard and grown using biodynamic techniques.
Produced from the coastal Manutuke and Ormond Valley vineyard. The wine has had oak integration, undergone partial malolactic fermentation to give it more texture and creaminess in the palate. These grapes are harvested ripe, at low yields.
This is fruity and satisfying. Enough oak and creaminess to please those who like a more old school Chardonnay; this equally has the freshness and fruit forward flavours of a more modern wine.
