This six pack contains one each of:
2021 Pink Robots. Is it a rosé? Is it a light red? Is it a pet-nat? Who knows! Named for the benchmark Flaming Lips album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (2002) this is our super-fun, wild, 'pink' rather than rosé wine. Made with 50/50 Chardonnay and Syrah from opposite sides of Hawkes Bay this wine as a little spritz and a light haze with tons of cherry, red liquorice and spice.

2021 Petit Nat. This is a semi-carbonated petillant naturel made from Biodynamic, Demeter Certified Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grown in the Wairau Valley. Packed full of varietal tropical fruit, with gentle acidity and a soft, leesy richness this is a fun, light, bright wine.

2022 Tangerine. First released in 2020, Tangerine is our flagship orange wine. From the now destroyed Petane vineyard this wine is a co-ferment of Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer with a splash of Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay. The addition of Gewurtz to the blend has given the wine a little more focus and a core of lychee, rose and musk to balance the weighty, fruit-driven Pinot Gris. It's got a lovely saltiness and clean acidity making the wine extremely food friendly.

2022 Sunburn. This is a light red and it may well be one of the best wines KU have released. Made from a small parcel of Cabernet Franc from Maraekakaho, slightly inland from Bridge Pa and the Gimblett Gravels. 2022 Sunburn is a light, bright, juicy carbonic red that weighs in at just 10.50% ABV. It's packed with red currant and raspberry fruit, those lovely leafy / floral Cabernet Franc aromatics and a hint of cedar from the whole-bunch fermentation.

2023 Syrah. Earthy, spicy, floral, fruit-driven and just a little bit dirty, our 2023 Syrah is packed full of flavour and is drinking exceptionally well already. This is a delicious, medium-weight Syrah which will benefit from short-term cellaring or decanting.

2022 Blank Frank. BLANK FRANK is named for the two varieties used: Cabernet Franc (from Maraekakaho) and Pinot Blanc (from Eskdale). To be blunt, these are varieties that don't really have any place being blended together. That said, KU ran out of tanks so threw them together to co-ferment before being pressed into a 250l egg fermenters to integrate. It's bright pink with wild, earthy fruit; crunchy acid and a hint of funk. It's unconventional, wild and fun!
