Winter is upon us and the Cult Team are settling in for some hearty meals and evenings by the fire with a good glass of red in hand. We've put this pack together for just such an occasion. Here are three wines which are deceptively easy to drink; but with a lot of hidden complexity just waiting for you to discover. The Gruner Veltliner will make a fantastic aperitif or accompany a first course - there's enough body and flavour for rich foods; enough acid to make seafood zing. We'll be drinking the Bonarda next - big, fruity and with that touch of oak that gives it chocolate complexity we think it will go great with a rich casserole; a big pasta bake or make a flaky meat pie. Then we'll crack the Malbec; enjoy it with a cheese platter and have a quiet glass in front of the fire while we digest. Perfect!
