Amy Farnsworth's philosophy means her wines are organic, grown with biodynamic principles and there is no fining, filtering or added sulphur. The results speak for themselves - elegant, often delicate wines, singing bright from time in amphora and full of pure fruit expression and beautiful subtleties of flavour. We love these wines!
This is a pronounced skin contact expression of the Amphora Albariño with dried apricots, quince and orange rind notes. It has a n appealing phenolic texture with treacle and marmalade, finishing with freshness.
Amy says " As I was pressing the Albariño, (which had been macerating on skins for two weeks) the 'skins' portion began to turn a bright orange colour. I separated this amber portion into puncheon and barrel.
Later down the ageing track the pressings component from the Amphora Albariño announced itself as its own wine. So I paid attention and gave it its own voice."
