Part of the Takapoto Estate ethos is small scale, hands-on production of boutique wines. Thus Reserve Chardonnay is no exception. The grapes are handpicked from a Gimblett Gravels vineyard and winemaking involves as little intervention as possible. The result is a powerful wine that will please those looking for some oak and body but with delightful stone fruit and plenty of zesty lemon as well. Only three barrels were produced - two of which were new oak.
