Muskotaly, yellow muscat or Muscat blanc a Petits Grains is one of the components of the famous sweet wines of Tokaj in Hungary but also makes elegant, dry wines with the distinctive flavour of...grapes! This is one of the few grapes which when vinified retains a distinctive grapiness, alongside the fragrance of orange blossom and notes of pear and melon. This example from a respected Hungarian producer has all those fabulous aromatics along with a crisp acid line. Pop it alongside slices of melon wrapped in prosciutto for a real taste treat!
