The Boeckel family have been making wine in Alsace since 1853. This is a great example of Alsace Riesling that's had a little age. Fresh citrus flavours and white flower aroma is present, but the minerality the region is known for is heightened and the distinctive odour of kerosene has begun to develop. We don't have many of the 2018 left, and then we will be into the newer vintage - which while delicious - doesn't have those age characters yet.
