From a part of France that specialises in naturally sweet wines comes this delightful fortified Grenache Noir. Sometimes called the port of France, this style of wine is made by fortifying with neutral spirit to stop fermentation and preserve the natural fruit sweetness. This makes it light and fresh but with a satisfying fruitiness which allows it to accompany dessert, chocolate, a cheese platter or all the things you'd normally do with port! It has the added advantage for the NZ summer (and Christmas!) of being just as good with a slight chill. Perfect for sipping after dinner.
