This is a modern take on the most classic of Clare styles, the Bordeaux blend. 51% Cabernet Sauvigonon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 12% Malbec with the balance being Grenache, Carignan and Sciacarello. Picked early to retain some freshness the classic varieties come from established plantings (1930) while the alternatives come from more recent plantings (1998). It's got vibrant fruit, silky tannins lovely aromatics but is still unequivocally aussie.
