From a well managed, hillside vineyard in Maraekakaho in Hawkes Bay (inland from the Bridge Pa Triangle) comes this classic, focused new-world Cab Franc. This wine was hand picked and whole-bunch fermented before being pressed into barrel to chill for about two years, after this it was racked into tank to settle and left for a further 18 months.

"Ripe, fruity and dry with core flavours of dark plums and blackberry, there’s a fine savoury dried herb and leafy quality adding both impact and flavours. Fine tannins and medium+ acid line combine to deliver a wine of completeness and some power. I tried this wine both ambient and chilled, both worked.
