This is made in Bugey, in the Rhone Alps though just inside the borders for Burgundy. Its a delight, fresh blend of Gamay and the indigenous grape Mondeuse. Its got a spicy nose, but there's also lots of red fruit and a touch of honey. Drink it - and the flavour is light and crisp with a surprising minerality. Gorgeous in summer with a slight chill and the perfect accompaniment to a relaxed picnic or share plates for long, lazy dinner.
