Domaine des Pothiers are producers of Gamay Noir in the Cote Roannaise, in the north of the Loire. They work with 'Saint Romain' a unique clone of Gamay Noir. The wines are very Burgundian with more savouriness than Beaujolais (especially at this price), this however is their supremely elegant, rich Chardonnay. Natural. "La Colline en Flamme" translates to "the hills are burning".
