Aaron and Mel Skinner are passionate about traditional method sparkling wine - in fact its all they make on their 1.5ha property in Kaikoura. With loads of apple and pear as well as a lemon zest freshness this is a classic pairing for oysters. There's plenty of bready complexity as well making this a versatile wine. Esses also pride themselves on low intervention in the vineyard and the winery and a commitment to expressing the distinctive terroir. This is 87% Chardonnay and 13% Pinot Noir.
