As the name suggests this wine is the uncompromisingly natural bottle (although it tastes as poised and refined as all the others) and lives up to it's name being bottled zero-zero. It is 85% Syrah and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon from a 15 year old vineyard grown at 650m above sea level. 70% Whole Bunch and 30% Scrap (destemmed but with the inclusion of stems) with a 4 day cold soak and 20 day ferment / maceration. For me this is a classic expression of mineral-driven Syrah grown in a warm climate (not quite Shiraz) with powerful dark fruit and tons of spice.
(Only 1000 bottles made)
"Black cherries with plums and boysenberries and a hint of white pepper on the nose. A fluid entry on the palate, with a firm, velvety tannin structure that builds gradually, giving a fuller mouth-feel at the end with a composed, fruity finish."
