Wow! Just wow! Rarely do we get to offer such an iconic natural bottling, with age at such an amazing price. Testalonga have long been a favourite producer and we've been able to secure 9 six packs of this amazing wine from the importer at cost as they had been lost in the stacks and need to be drunk! I've just tasted the wine and was blown away! Structurally it's more like what I'd expect from an aged, naturally made Nebbiolo than a Syrah / Shiraz... beautifully aged with layers of dark fruit, florals, leather, spice and hints of development appropriate to 8 years in bottle. It's dry on the palate with juicy, generous black fruit, a heap of spice, soft tannins and clean acidity. This is a stunning and super-enjoyable, masterfully made natural red... Befitting the style it has a little funky wildness but it's stunning and precise fruit and aromatics really shine!
