From the Tatzenschrot and Keil sites at 250m, overlooking the Kalterersee, one the warmest areas in Südtirol. Pergola trained vines on sandy clay soils rich in limestone. Destemmed grapes fermented in open wooden vats with minimal plunging; only a week or so on skins followed by 5 months in large oak barrels.
