The Nero d’Avola Rosato truly is a unique wine. This native Sicilian variety is perfectly suited to the warm, dry climate of the Riverland, producing wines that are full of fruit flavour that retain natural acidity. We decided to take advantage of these traits when creating our rosato. After crushing, the fruit was left to soak on skins for 8 hours, giving the wine it’s bright, almost fluorescent pale pink colour. The 2018 rosato is all strawberries and cream on the nose; the palate driven by luscious raspberries and driving acid, giving a lovely, clean finish.
