"The Lazy Sunday is an easy drinking 50/50 red blend of Pinot Noir and Syrah (Shiraz). The nose is pretty and inviting, with lifted red fruits and exotic spice. The palate is light-medium bodied, with masses of red cherry and strawberry flavours. Tannin is moderate, but there’s some zippy, spicy acidity to help conclude the wine. This light style red can be chilled on warmer days.

The Pinot Noir component was hand-picked late March. The fruit was transported to the winery and fermented wild as 100% whole bunch. The fruit was foot stopped once per day until hand plunging was possible. Most Pinot ferments were basket pressed after fifteen days, directly to old hogshead
barrels. The Shiraz component was hand-picked early April, at a low’ish sugar level, to produce a light and spicy style of Syrah. Ferments were fermented wild with 100% whole bunch. The fruit was foot stopped once per day, until hand plunging was possible. The Shiraz ferments were basket pressed to tank after five days on skins, while colour and tannin were still moderate. Once sugar dry, the juice was transferred to old hog heads for malo-lactic fermentation.
The components were blended and bottled in September. There was a small SO2 addition, but no filtration or any other additions."

Please note, this is a pre-order and will be dispatched from 28 September.
