Collaborating with Millton Vineyards the Syrah and Malbec for this wine were f=grown on-site in the Te Arai vineyard but also include Syrah from the Crucible Syrah grown in the Clos de Ste.-Anne Vineyard. So this is a wine with some very special grapes in it! The Te Arai grapes underwent carbonic maceration with 30% whole bunches and this shows in the bright, raspberry, cherry tomato fragrance of the fruit. Lively and fresh, this is designed to be consumed chilled and comes in at just under 11% alcohol - meaning its a genuinely refreshing wine. There is some volatile acid, which works with the chilled wine and adds to its liveliness.
