“The Blend” is a blend of wine from Central Otago vineyards in Bannockburn and Gibbston Valley. The Gibbston grapes add floral scents, sweet red fruits, and thyme. This is matched with the dark fruits and powerful mouthfeel from the Bannockburn vineyard. This wine is unfined and unfiltered, adding to that mouthfeel. The final result is a lovely balance of spice, aroma and dark fruitiness with absolutely silky tannins. Grown in Central Otago but made at the Waikato vineyard on the shores of Lake Karapiro. Cam Douglas suggests it has a drinking window till the end of 2029 and will keep improving in the bottle - and we agree! Great value for money.
