From the foothills of Mt Karioi, overlooking Ruapuke Beach, its hard to imagine somewhere less likely to make good wine - but here we are!

A juicy, acid-driven Syrah with loads of cranberry, brambles and boysenberry. The French oak has leant it a touch of chocolate and there's a hint of vanilla. There's a light mouthfeel and some white pepper spice at the end. An elegant food wine, light enough for summer meals; substantial enough to be really satisfying.
