This is Takapoto Estate's first Sauvignon Blanc and they have sourced fantastic grapes from the Wairau Valley. This is full of vibrant tropical fruit aromas - pineapple, passionfruit, guava, blackcurrant, and citrus blossom. They are present on the palate as well, along with zingy grapefruit. But this Sav is more than your usual Marlborough fruit bomb - lees stirring have added texture and complexity and 25% has been fermented in aged oak - adding to mouthfeel and flavour.
