In collaboration with Wild Bunch Industries we are proud to be importing the wines of Ricca Terra in to New Zealand. Ricca Terra was founded by Ashley Ratcliff, who with his wife established the vineyard in the Riverlands in 2003, largely as a contract grower (they now grow for over 40 clients including Patrick Sullivan (Jumping Juice), Unico Zelo, Brash Higgins, Shaw and Smith and Somos.

They started producing their own wine in 2017 and in 2019 were awarded 5 Star Winery status by the James Halliday Wine Companion (which they have retained in 2020 and 2021).

Working in the extremely dry Riverlands they focus on Mediterranean grapes which resist drought pressure such as Nero d'Avola, Fiano, Muscat, Grenache and the Touriga varieties. Their Caravel vineyard which is in conversion to organics won Innovative Vineyard of the Year at the acclaimed Young Guns of Wine Awards in 2020.
