This is classic Pinot Grigio from the region that really knows how to make it. Described in FlaschenPost as having a "smug character"; this is a wine that knows what its about. There is lots of white fruit in the front - pear but also aromatic peach. This is followed by a refreshing grassiness, plenty of acid and a nice earthiness at the finish. A wine that could be described as relaxed - more complex than the Pinot Gris we see a lot of in NZ - but willing to take the backseat to the food you are serving with it. The perfect, well-mannered Italian for your long lunch or summer dinner table.
