Jiménez-Landi are small, family-owned artisan winegrowers from Méntrida in the northwestern province of Toledo in Spain. The Jiménez-Landi farm 27ha of vineyards biodynamically split between those on the plains (550m - 650m above sea level) and in the mountains (750m - 850m above sea level) and the wines are made by José Jiménez-Landi who with his cousin Dani, began to reinvent the historic estate (the winery dates back to the 16th century), creating truly modern expressions of Méntrida.
Grenache (aka Garnacha) is the star here but is supplemented by Syrah, Cabernet, and a range of indigenous varieties. Winemaking is very minimal with use of stainless steel, older oak and tinjanas. The wines are all bottled unfiltered and unfined and with the exception of Natural are only bottled with minimal added sulfur. Despite working naturally, the wines also garner exceptional reviews internationally including from Robert Parker, James Suckling and the Spanish Peñín Guide.
